All participants getting on the boat MUST be aged 12+ years.
If you would like to fundraise for us but don't want to take part in the race, let us know and we'll arrange a fundraising page for you.
If you are under the age of 12 and want to fundraise for us, please ask a parent/guardian to complete the registration form and leave a note for us on the form we will contact them.
No experience necessary!
The Dragon Boat Team will induct each boat team independently.
You do NOT need to be a swimmer to participate either. The water is shallow (not deep) and you will be provided life jackets before getting on the boat.
All participants will be provided with a life jacket and a paddle.
Participants will be given a target to raise £350. We know you'll exceed your target - especially with the one-to-one and group support you'll receive.
If you are an experienced fundraiser, let us know what target you would like to set yourself!
There is no registration fee.
After you register, you will be set up with a fundraising page which you will share on social media, with friends and family. They will be able to make a donation online.

You will be supported throughout the fundraising period. We will be sharing tips on how to fundraise effectively and will also be sharing posters and templates with you to share on social media and with your loved ones.
We will be with you every step of the way!
You will be added to the teams WhatsApp group (men only in the Mikaeel's Heroes group chat, and women only in Mikaeel's Angels group chat) where we will be actively sharing innovative ways you can boost your fundraising skills, provide posters and templates for you to share on social media and send to your friends and family.
If at any point you feel that you're finding it difficult to raise funds, please get in touch with us sooner rather than later so we can look at ways to help you reach your target.
It's important to note that the beauty of working as part of a team is that we will be learning a lot from each other. If a team member is doing something that is working, we would love for them to share their approach with us.
We understand that sometimes, things don't work out the way we want them to.
If you feel that you can no longer fundraise or participate in the race, please tell us as soon as possible so we can offer your space to someone else. The last thing we'd want is to turn up on event day and find out we have an incomplete team.
The team will consist of 17 people; 16 rowers and one drummer.
We aim to have 3 rowers on standby in case we have last minute cancellations on the day and/or if rowers want to sit out on a race.

YES! We can set a fundraising page for you and a plus one. You can decide on competition day which one of you competes in each round.
YES! Just let us know when you register so we're aware that you just want to fundraise and we'll continue to recruit team members who will also want to compete on race day.
Transport will not be provided however we're sure there'll be participants driving themselves to the venue who won't mind a fellow team member tagging along for the ride.
If you would like a parking voucher for the event, please ask Liza. Vouchers are limited and will be issued to groups travelling together.
We will provide a hot lunch for team members which will include fruit and water.
There will be stalls available at the venue where you can purchase food for your family and friends who come to support you.
Please arrive by 8am. Meeting point will be confirmed nearer the time.
All teams will compete in 2 rounds of races in the morning. The results will be used to get teams' average finishing time. Teams with the fastest finishing times will make it to the Semi-Finals. 10 teams will make it to the Finals.
Winners will be awarded first, second and third place for male and female boats.
